The Pyramide Vincent (4215 m) and the Christ of the peaks (4161 m) (*)

Two peaks with a great history. Climbed for the first time by the mining engineer Jean-Nicolas Vincent in the distant 1819, from which the summit takes its name, the Pyramid Vincent is a 4000 that can be reached by the normal route with an easy excursion on the Lys glacier.

The Cristo delle Vette, located on the top of Balmenhorn (4161 m), was created by the Turin sculptor Alfredo Bai, a partisan during the Second World War, who vowed to erect a statue of Christ the Redeemer in the mountains in case he returned home alive from the war. To get to the foot of the imposing statue, after a path on the glacier, you climb a short aided rock wall.
