Collective to Castore 4226 m
Castore is 4226 m high and dominates both the valleys of Gressoney and Ayas. The peak can be reached from Quintino Sella hut (3585 m) crossing the Felik Glacier and traversing the airy final ridge.
For those who do not have a climbing partner and still want to reach a 4000 m peak in a group, the Gressoney Alpine Guides Society organizes every Thursday and Friday in July and August the ascent to Castore 4226 m.
Day 1: meeting with the guide in front of the ticket office of the lift in Staffal at 2.30 pm, check of the equipment and ski lift to Bettaforca pass (2700 m). Departure to Quintino Sella hut (3585 m) that will be reached in around 3 hours and a half walking. Dinner and overnight.
Day 2: departure at dawn and arrival after around 3 hours on Castore (4226 m). Brief stop, return to Quintino Sella hut and then descent to Bettaforca pass. Arrival at Staffal at3.30 pm approximately.

The program is organized every Thursday and Friday in July and August.
Group of 4 people: 170,00 € per participant
Group of 3 people: 180,00 € per participant
The collective is confirmed with at least 3 participants. Maximum number: 4 people.
The rate includes: private guiding fees, rent of axe, crampons and harness.
The rate excludes: ticket of the lifts, half board in the hut for client and guide, beverage and extras in the hut, lunch for the guide and the client.
