Private tours - Pyramide Vincent (4215 m) and Cristo delle Vette (4161 m) in two days
The first ascent of the peak was made by the mineral engineer Jean-Nicolas Vincent in 1819, from who the peak inherited the name. This 4000 meters can be reached by the normal route crossing part of the Lys glacier. The first part of the itinerary is the same as for Queen Margherita Hut, but before the Lys pass it turns west and traverses the slope which brings to the summit. From the summit it is possible to admire the three Italian valleys of the Monte Rosa, Alagna, Gressoney and Champoluc, and to spot Monte Bianco as well as the Maritime Alps.
The ascent of Pyramide Vincent can be combined with the ascent of the close Balmenhorn (4161), on which there is the popular statue of Christ. To reach the summit, a short rocky and equipped wall must be climbed.
