Stage Monte Rosa


An intense four-day program, designed to be able to explore the Monte Rosa massif climbing 5 of its 4000 and at the same time to learn the "cramponnage" technique, self-rescue maneuvers and the safe conduct of the consortium on the glacier.

Program
1st day: meeting with the guide at the ticket office of the Staffal lifts at 2.30 pm, check of the materials and ascent with the lifts to the Bettaforca pass (2700 m). Ascent to the Quintino Sella refuge (3585 m), which can be reached in about 3 and a half hours on foot. Dinner and overnight.
2nd day: Departure at dawn and arrival in about 3 and a half hours at Punta Castore (4226 m). Stop for photos of the summit and return to the Quintino Sella refuge for lunch.
In the afternoon, near the Sella refuge, self-rescue lesson, where we will learn how to make a hoist to retrieve a companion who has fallen into a crevasse and we will deepen the methods of tying in ropes, the progression of the ropes on a snowy ridge and on a glacier.
Day 3: Traverse of the Lyskamm Nose (4100 m) passing at the foot of the south face of the Lyskamm. On the trail of the mythical route of the historic "Mezzalama Trophy" ski mountaineering competition, we will climb the Naso del Lyskamm and reach the Cristo delle Vette, perched on the top of the Balmenhorn (4167 m). In the afternoon we will go up to the Regina Margherita hut (4554 m), the highest refuge in Europe.
4th Day: After admiring one of the most evocative sunrises in the world, we will leave the Margherita hut to climb to the nearby Punta Zumstein (4561 m). Downhill, after having crossed the Colle del Lys and we will climb the Vincent Pyramid (4215 m). Descent to the Mantova refuge for a well-deserved rest and descent to Indren to take the lifts for Staffal. Arrival scheduled for around 4:30 pm.

Difficulty: from F to PD - glacier excursions and ridge passages. Considering the duration of the internship, good physical shape is required.

Rates:
Group of 4 people: € 520.00 per participant
Group of 3 people: € 620.00 per participant
Group of 2 people: € 920.00 per participant

The fee includes: accompanying the guide, individual and group technical equipment.
The fee does not include: ski lifts, half board for the guide and customers in the refuge, drinks and extras at the refuge, lunches for the guide and customers.

Service package: € 490 per person (2 half board at the Sella refuge, 1 half board at the Margherita hut, Staffal / Indren lifts a / r, lunch at Margherita, Mantova and Quintino Sella, half board and guide's expenses)
